What do you think of these names? Lucas is DP's suggestion, Theo is mine. Which do you prefer? If neither any suggestions please? Thanks Smile Smile

I have a Lucas and a Theo! Even though I chose Lucas first, I actually prefer Theo.

feckawwf · 16/06/2013 22:52

Love them both but prefer Lucas. Or you could go for a bit of both and have Leo-my ds name Wink

Nimthenamechanger · 16/06/2013 22:55

I like Lucas more than Theo as Theo does sound like a little bit nicknamey. However, if you're bothered about teasing potential, a Lucas I know would probably want me to point out that his name rhymes with mucousConfused
Lucian or Lucius?

rootypig · 16/06/2013 22:56

Ha, I know 8mo twins called this. No help, just wanted to chip in Smile

LittleDonkeyKong · 16/06/2013 23:03

My top 2 names if I ever have a DS I prefer Lucas but only slightly :)

Ham69 · 17/06/2013 07:22

Theo . I think it sounds perfectly formal on its own and never thought of it as 'nicknamey', 'faddy', 'footbally', etc. Theo Paphitis seems to have done ok and been taken seriously enough. And it was Vincent Van Gogh's brother's name (he chose to be called this though I think his name was Theodorus).

massagegirl · 17/06/2013 07:29

Theo. not footbally at all, there's one footballer called this I can think of. Lovely name. Full name in its own right, strong and classic.

squashedbanana · 17/06/2013 07:47

sorry, can't stand Lucas, it whenever I see it or hear it all I can think of is mucous

MaryAnnSingleton · 17/06/2013 07:54

yep, Theo is a full name in it's own right, agree there. My Theo used to go to La Jolie Ronde where the teacher would pronounce it the French way, which was very sweet.

Rtfairy · 22/06/2013 10:32

Thanks for all your comments. Think we have decided on Lucas with Theo as a middle name. As much as I love Theo my main concern would be people pronouncing it incorrectly as 'Feo'.

Not keen on Lucas, but love Theo.

I wouldn't have linked it with football at all, despite the fact that I am forced to endure the game by the menfolk of my family.

shockers · 22/06/2013 10:37

Sorry... I've just seen that you've chosen Lucas Blush.

AmIGoingMad · 22/06/2013 14:26

Good choice rt!Smile

Sanjifair · 22/06/2013 14:35

I like both, they are both on my list. I think I prefer Lucas with Luke for short.

5madthings · 22/06/2013 14:40

They are both lovely my ds1 is theo(dore) and my ds3 has lucas as his middle name :)

KLou1105 · 26/06/2013 22:23

Lucas

NowPlayingZone · 26/06/2013 22:41

Both nice.
Lucas has a bit more staying power, think you made right decision!

MollyBerry · 26/06/2013 22:43

Both are nice but good choice using both :)

FetaCheeny · 26/06/2013 23:49

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 26/06/2013 23:50
