I'm a little scared of my list; please be gentle and tell me what you think when you see these names. Our last name begins with an M.

Olivia Hero M
Helena Scarlet M
Amelia Miriam M
Lillian Zeena M

I like them all except Helena (the pronunciation differences put me off).

Before I opened your post I was automatically thinking of shorter 2 syllable names so your list surprised me!

run4it · 16/06/2013 13:07

@queen - thought maybe I was being too geeky :D

Layl77 · 16/06/2013 13:27

Helena scarlet

Fifi2406 · 17/06/2013 17:49

I was at uni with a Helena...she got called Ellen, Helen, Elena, Helayna and never HELENa! It drove me insane and it wasn't my name so please don't do it!

I think you should go with Hero Olivia

Dd3 was to be a Noah, obviously she was a girl - we went with Anna.

One of my other daughters names is on your list Smile The one that begins with O.

SleepyCatOnTheMat · 17/06/2013 19:01

Olivia and Amelia - the top 2 girls names at the minute, I wouldn't use them for that reason alone.

Miriam would go nicely with Noah (both being Old Testament Biblical), what about Miriam Amelia? (Could be Miri, Mimi, Mitzi, Mary or Molly for short).

I prefer Zina to Zeena and Scarlett (as in Scarlett O'Hara) to Scarlet.

Lillian and Helena - both nice.

Sh1ney · 17/06/2013 19:21

Why does the name have to go with Noah ? I never quite get this - unless you quite fancy 'noelle' or something

SleepyCatOnTheMat · 17/06/2013 20:04

Some names just don't sound right together, Sh1ney. Like Montgomery and Lexi-Mae. Or Jedediah and Finley.

I have a Noah

From your list Amelia is my fav - Its also on my future DD's list, along with Scarlett, Willow, Ruby, Isabella,
