Thoughts on Archie?

Ok so I have a dd called Eilidh and am pregnant with dc 2. Think we have decided a girls name (Annabel or Annabelle) so now just have to decide on a boys name.

Dh and I both love Archie but I am a bit worried about other people's reactions to it?

Honestly is it awful? And if you don't like it,do you think it's horrendous or just now for you?

I love Archie. Such a cool little name. Go for it.

Not keen personally.

I don't think that it's awful. I just sort of lump Archie, Alfie, Charlie etc. together and I don't really like any of them

Absolutely adore the name Archie ! Would call mine that if I was to have another boy.

peeriebear · 03/06/2013 21:53

comely, I'm not but my grandparents, auntie and various distant relations live there :) I'd live there if I could!

Annaliveinalice · 04/06/2013 04:30

I quite like it, but wouldn't use it personally.

I have met a couple of little Archies.

blueblizz · 04/06/2013 14:25

Dreadful sorry. Every other boy seems to be called it where I live...or Alfie.
But hey, that's only my opinion and yours is better for your child! All the best with whatever you decide.

Nearly every man and his dog is called Archie and Alfie here too.

harverina · 04/06/2013 16:53

I think considering I am so undecided about it is a sign that its not for me - I really like it but I think it's a hit or a miss and I think that others people's opinions would worry me Hmm

I don't think you should use it then.

I think of it was 'the one', you wouldn't care what other people thought.
