Felicity Rose.

Esme is nice but very popular at the moment.

SingleBelle · 27/05/2013 22:08

Esme Rose

:-p

ditsydoll · 27/05/2013 22:12

I don't mind popular really.. I think popular names are popular for a reason, dds name is popular now but I still love it and it suits her so much.

Esmé Rose is pretty :)

I would go for Esme (with the accent over last e, which I can't seem to work out how to type) Rose.

Just wait til she's here and then decide. There's no real rush.

Esme isn't what I would call 'popular' to me that's top 20 and it's still far from being that.

GW297 · 27/05/2013 22:53

Esme Rose is beautiful.

ImaginaryHat · 27/05/2013 22:53

Theyre both lovely. As MoonHare said, just wait til she arrives and see which suits her best.

AndWhenYouGetThere · 27/05/2013 22:55

Felicity Rose - beautiful meaning (and I know a few too many baby Esme's recently)

noxius · 27/05/2013 23:22

Felicity. Esmé is ok, but very popular, and then there's the whole pronunciation issue.

forgetmenots · 27/05/2013 23:27

Felicity Rose. I'm really not keen on Esme (either spelling/pronunciation), it doesn't sound nice to me. Felicity is classic.

AlfalfaMum · 27/05/2013 23:34

All lovely names. Wait and see what suits her :)

LifeIsBetterInFlipFlops · 27/05/2013 23:51

Rose is lovely.

MrsTerryPratchett · 28/05/2013 03:15

I love Esme. But then I would being MrsTerryPratchett. Grin

diddl · 28/05/2013 07:57

Felicity Scarlett!

JojoMags · 28/05/2013 10:07

Don't like Scarlett, so Felicity Rose, or Esme Rose. Esme Rose, if it was up to me (and would pn it Ez-may).

seeker · 28/05/2013 10:08

Felicity Rose.

ditsydoll · 28/05/2013 10:27

What nn would I use for felicity?

OP posts:
NeedSomeSun142 · 28/05/2013 10:29

fliss? I like felicity rose personally

PicardyThird · 28/05/2013 10:35

Definitely go for Felicity Rose - a lot prettier and more classic than Esme Scarlett.

Felicity could be Fliss, Lissy, whatever you wanted really.

seeker · 28/05/2013 10:35

Wait and see what nickname arises. I know a Liss- she made it up herself when she was about 5.

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 28/05/2013 10:40

Fliss, Flick and recently, Fizz.

Snazzywaitingforsummer · 28/05/2013 10:40

Felicity is nice. NN Flick gets used quite a bit.

Littleolivetree · 28/05/2013 10:46

Esme would be too fashionable for me. Really like felicity though. It sounds like you want us to say esme. I would go with your heart over advice from MN!

Alisvolatpropiis · 28/05/2013 11:54

Felicity Rose is lovely.

As would Esme Rose be. How are you planning to pronounce Esme?

ditsydoll · 28/05/2013 16:54

I'm really torn as Dh vetoed felicity early on but has decided he now loves it and still loves esmé so is leaving it up to me to choose.

If I chose Esmé i would pronounce it Es-may x

OP posts:
Alisvolatpropiis · 28/05/2013 17:42

Oooh that's more difficult.

I do like the Es-may pronounciation a lot.

Maybe Felicity Esme if you wanted to use both? Or Esme Felicity even?

I think Felicity is slightly more unusual but to be fair I've only ever met two Esme's,one who would now be in her early 20's and another who would be around 4 (and parents pronounce it Es-mee)
