Boy or girls name??

What was your immediate thought? I really like this name for a boy, teamed with either Arthur or Nathanael for a middle name, but I'm worried people will think I've given him a girls name!!

Hmmm, quite a mixed response! My concern now is that its going to be really common amongst girls! he could end up being in a class of other female Edens!

I think I still love it though and and at the moment it's my number one name for a boy!

But there was a dreadful 80s US daytime soap with a female one.

I know both boys and girls with that name but I think it's better suited to girls.

I know a girl and a boy named Eden. To me it feels more like a girls name.

Sounds very feminine to me.

I'd assume a male Eden to be a character in an American soap opera.

I think boy because I know a male Eden. His mum gave him a very 'normal' middle name in case he wants to use it instead when he is older but he loves it.

My dd1 is Eden but we also know a little boy called Eden too. AFAIK it used to be an "upper class" boys name many moons ago but has switched genders in recent times. When DD1 was born 3 years ago it was the 100th most popular girls name in the UK.

Definitely girl.

If you like it - use it! It's your baby therefore your choice. Boys can be called Eden. It's a unisex name.
