Lauren, Emily or Eleanor (Ellie)?

I know these are very 'usual' names, but which do you like most? I prefer Lauren, but DH isn't sure Confused. Are they very popular names - are classes filled with them at the moment?

They are popular but pretty. I can see why you like them. I like Ellie or Lauren.

Sticklebug · 22/05/2013 21:24

There are 9 Ellie's, 1 Emily and 1 Lauren in my DC's school of 180 children.

kilmuir · 22/05/2013 21:25

Eleanor is my favourite. only 1 Ellie in year 2 class

shez29 · 22/05/2013 21:32

Love emily. Its one of my top 2

Leeds2 · 22/05/2013 21:40

Prefer Emily, then Ellie. My impression is that Lauren is a name from 12 years ago, although I like it very much.

Startail · 22/05/2013 21:46

Emily, Lauren had a very brief popularity spike and 12 and under we have loads of Ellie's

Alisvolatpropiis · 22/05/2013 21:52

Eleanor.

I loathe Lauren, couldn't tell you why though, just do.

Still18atheart · 22/05/2013 21:59

either Eleanor or Emily for me

Hate Lauren

JimbosJetSet · 22/05/2013 22:07

I know a few Ellie's and Emily's under the age of 4, no Lauren's. But popular names are popular for a good reason! All lovely names.

Slavetominidictator · 22/05/2013 22:09

Am secondary school teacher and they are very popular there among older kids, not so much with younger ones.

Slavetominidictator · 22/05/2013 22:11

Sorry - like Eleanor best but not keen on Ellie. Nell is a beautiful short form though, IMO.

Lollyheart · 22/05/2013 22:15

Lauren , I have a beautiful 8 year old one Smile

rubyflipper · 22/05/2013 22:20

Emily. But I'm biased because DD is one Grin. Even though she is one of four at her playgroup.

Lauren reminds me of Miss Goodger from TOWIE.

miffybun73 · 22/05/2013 22:22

Think Lauren is just awful.

The others are lovely, especially Emily - best girls' name ever (my DD)

Lauren, then Emily.

GW297 · 22/05/2013 23:06

Emily

StetsonsAreCool · 22/05/2013 23:30

DD is 3. She knows 2 Ellies, 1 Emily and no Laurens. Names in classes now aren't necessarily indicative of names in classes when your DD will start school in 4-5 years.

By comparison, we know 6 (that I can easily think of off the top of my head) Bellas, 3 each of Evie, Mia and Amelia, 2 each of Alice, Lucy, Seren, Elsa, Ava. I know none of these are on your list, but it's just something to consider if popularity is an issue for you, as the names you like aren't as popular as some of the names here.

StetsonsAreCool · 22/05/2013 23:30

And as for the name I like most. Emily, then Lauren.
