What comes to your head when you hear piper?

I love it, other half.. Not so much, I'm sure there is room for persuasion though... Smile

Piper from The Minecraft Crew. DD watches MineCraft Crew videos on YouTube so much I feel like Piper is my best friend. She seems nice enough, American.

Piper Laurie, then Piper Alpha came into my head.

To me it's a cheery name, unusual.

First reaction "Piper at the gates of Dawn", nice name, though (bit of an old hippy, me)

Billie Piper.

But I like it as a name, maybe as Harper's sibling.

I like it and I live in the US where I hear it occasionally, but not as much as many other names.

Sarah Palin. It is (famously) the name of one of her children. She named the child after the light aircraft she likes to use while shooting. To me it is therefore a sort of moose-shootin'-from-helicopters, redneck kind of name that goes with Trig and Track and the other names given to her children.

I used to babysit a Piper, and she was adorable. Good connotations for me.

I really like it, it was one of our two choices for DD1!

Piper Alpha. Not good imo.

It sounds odd to me, like a manufactured cheerfulness. But probably wouldn't notice/care once I met the person.
