Cleo, Holly or Charis?...

Hi
We are about to have DD3 and really in a pickle. We have had Cleo chosen for our third daughter even before I got pregnant but now are getting cold feet. Having a Cleo on The Voice has kind of put us off as now it will look like we have just seen it on tv and decided its cool if you know what I mean!
Our other alternatives are Holly or Charis (pronounced "Caris").

Please give me your opinions as time is running out- or any other suggestions!! Thanks

I like Charis/Charys and Holly. Not a fan of Cleo. It's a pet cat name to me.

SouthernComforts · 14/05/2013 00:22

Not Charis!! Love Cleo.

BunnyLebowski · 14/05/2013 00:24

Cleo is fab. Different without being u-neek. Striking and pretty.

Holly is Christmas themed and a bit 90's.

Charis is ok but I much prefer the Welsh version, Carys.

lovedimsum · 14/05/2013 00:38

How about Primrose then? Have also always liked that name....

Carys is lovely, Charis looks funny.

Like Cleo too.

Holly is a bit boring.

Holly

lottiegarbanzo · 14/05/2013 01:01

Charis or cleo, I do like cleo. Holly is nice, definitely winter though and does seem like it was fashionable a little while ago.

Clarice? Cecilia? Clara?

I'd use Charis, as it feels more versatile to me, though I think Cleo is very cool.

whyno · 14/05/2013 06:44

Love Carys / charis. Don't mind Cleo or Holly.

seeker · 14/05/2013 06:46

Cleo is fab.

Why would people think you've got Cleo off the TV any more than Holly?

lovedimsum · 14/05/2013 07:24

Well just because Cleo is less common than Holly....

Cleo, definitely.

lovedimsum · 14/05/2013 08:08

Ok my husband was getting cold feet with Cleo but has just announced he still wants to go with it! Thanks for the input :)

Who the hell will remember Cleo from the voice in two months time? That's if anyone even watches it Smile

TallulahBetty · 14/05/2013 13:23

Holly, definitely.

Although I MAY be biased as I have a Holly

TenthMuse · 14/05/2013 16:07

Definitely stick with Cleo - by far the best of the three. Dislike Charis, and Holly is nice and inoffensive but becoming somewhat dated I think.

squoosh · 14/05/2013 16:12

Yes I now think that Cleo is the best! It's snappy and uncommon without being unheard of.

deemented · 14/05/2013 16:13

You could always put a spin on it and have Celyn, which is Welsh for Holly...

OrangeFootedScrubfowl · 14/05/2013 16:15

Yes, don't worry about The Voice. Hardly anyone will be watching and even less will remember in a year.

SilkStalkings · 14/05/2013 16:16

Charis is a kind of cannabis isn't it? Holly is boring. Cleo is great.

bellamysbride · 14/05/2013 16:33

Love, love, love Charis.

Mousehere · 14/05/2013 21:36

Holly is lovely dislike Cleo and think Charis is awful sorry.

williaminajetfighter · 14/05/2013 21:38

Cleo is great. Like cool chanteuse Cleo Lane.

Prefer Charis as Cerys.

thereistheball · 15/05/2013 11:42

Charis is definitely a variety of cannabis. Avoid!

pussycatwillum · 15/05/2013 13:00

Friends have a daughter called Charis and it is often mispronounced as if it begins with ch. Otherwise lovely name. Doesn't it mean 'grace'?
