Sounds a bit made up to me. Does it have a particular significance for you? (is a regional name, or from literature etc?)

scaevola · 12/05/2013 16:32

I've never come across it before, and don't take to it, sorry.

Decoy · 12/05/2013 16:32

I like it Smile

CPtart · 12/05/2013 16:36

Nay, sounds like a made up trying to be different name!

Louster6 · 12/05/2013 16:42

Thanks for all your opinions so far....its a name that I recently came across and I can't decide whether I actually like it or not! I found it unique and interesting but not sure if I can imagine it on a real-life person.

It is a legitimate name though....its Hebrew and means "my light" apparently.

It's very pretty, but I've only ever known Israelis with this name. Yes, in Hebrew it means "you are my light" Smile

One of DD2's friends at nursery is called Liora, middle Eastern origin. Ahe's very sweet, if that helps you! :)

JeanPaget · 12/05/2013 16:47

I actually quite like the sound of it - it's similar to Lenora and Leonie.

But I think you'd get a lot of Hmm from people thinking it was made up. If you could face having to explain to people all the time I think it's a nice name though.

Louster6 · 12/05/2013 16:52

True! And probably a few more raised eyebrows when I have to explain that I have no Jewish connection/heritage whatsoever!
