My son is called Dexter Miles and I would have been happy with Miles as a first name.I also liked Piers and Giles.

BuntyPenfold · 25/04/2013 22:15

Love it, also Piers and Giles.

In the UK/US, where distance is measured in miles, it would be like naming your child Kilometres Grin. Don't like it as a name, sorry.

Giles works better as a name imo.

Love it - Miles Davis!

Don't think it would be confused with miles / kilometres!

I went to primary with a Miles Mitten, cute name

Jemimapuddleduk · 26/04/2013 00:50

Love it. Prefer it spelt Miles. Lovely nickname potential of Milo or Miley when little.

Shellywelly1973 · 26/04/2013 01:00

I have a Myles...old family name. My grandad & cousin were also Myles'.

I decided to use the y instead of i as that is the was my grandad's name was spelt.
