Vanessa.

Evie is too popular at the moment - I know several and a couple of Eva's too.

juneau · 21/04/2013 13:41

Or you could choose Evelyn, Evangeline, etc and use Evie for short. I'm not a fan of nicknames for real names tho'.

Vanessa Smile. I know two adult Vanessas, and they are both lovely and elegant.

There are also a lot of little girls called Evie at the moment.

thermalsinapril · 21/04/2013 14:23

Evie

Snazzynewyear · 21/04/2013 14:25

Vanessa

Shesparkles · 21/04/2013 14:28

Both are lovely, but again I'd say Evie is getting almost too popular just now.
I also know a lovely adult Vanessa

So either or. Helpful? Grin

Evie would be my choice but if it were me would go with Evelyn. Not keen on Vanessa.

Vanessa.

GW297 · 22/04/2013 00:26

Evie

Ouchmyhead · 22/04/2013 00:46

Vanessa, Evie is so popular but to me it's such a 'little girl' name - I can never imagine an adult Evie, it's too cutesy! Vanessa would suit a little girl and an adult however. IMO.

nooka · 22/04/2013 04:40

Vanessa. Evie wouldn't suit me at all. But then it strikes me as very much the name of a little girl - I'd be pretty surprised to meet an adult Evie.

mathanxiety · 22/04/2013 05:54

Vanessa. If I were using Evie it would be short for something else.

Strangely enough, Evie is a name that says older person to me, thanks to names in my grandmother's and dad's generation.

FattyMcChubster · 22/04/2013 06:04

I'm not a fan of 'ness' 'nessa' or 'nessie' which is what I've heard Vanessa's shortened to so I'd say Evie.

sparkle12mar08 · 23/04/2013 09:52

Evelyn in full or just Eve. Evie by itself is one of those dreadful twee 'eee' names that will date to the 2000-2010 bracket in the way that Sharon, Tracy, Claire, Michelle etc do to the seventies. Vanessa is much more distinguished than Evie, but not my actual cup of tea.

aoife24 · 24/04/2013 22:16

Eve and Evie as a nickname. Surely Eve won't date.
