Sorry - I just read your 'be gentle' comment. Sorry if I wasn't.

Camilla (Milla) - like it
Charlotte (Lotta, Lottie) - love Charlotte but wouldn't shorten
Clementine - not keen but do quite like Cleo
Clover - really like it. Not sure if I'd dare use it though
Daisy - not keen.

Demelza (Dilly) - like Dilly, not sure about Demelza
Loveday (Lalla) - don't like this at all sorry
Dorothy/Dorothea/Theadora (Dodie) - Dorothy is passable, really dislike the others
Flora - like it
Jocelyn (Joss) - quite like it
Posy - a bit too cutesy
Kitty - quite like it
Leone or Leonie - Leonie is quite nice
Merryn (Merry) - really like it
Rosemary/Rosamund (Rosie or Romy) - really like the nicknames. Longer versions are ok
Rosanna - prefer to the above two
Rosalie - it's ok
Emma - a bit 'dull' maybe but a good, solid name
Vivi (prob from Victoria or Vivian) - quite nice, prefer it as Victoria
Xanthe - Love it
Bella - like it but prefer as short for Isabella/Annabella/Arabella
Veryan - not heard of this. Quite pretty
Gigi - only heard as a nickname for Georgina. Could be another idea?

Boys :

Wilfred - really don't like this
Oscar/Oswald (nickname Oz) - love Oscar, Oswald is quite nice
Charlie - quite like it, would christen Charles
Inigo - love it
Hugo - don't like it, a bit posh sounding
Xander - love it, would christen Alexander
Kit - not keen

I think I'd go for:
Xanthe, Merryn or Charlotte and Inigo, Oscar or Xander.
