OH & I have found the only name we can really agree on for our little girl & is accepted by the people that matter to us to be Macy. She will be a Macy June L...(uncommon 3 syllable surname). Any thoughts on this, nice or otherwise? Anything I haven't spotted with problematic initials or possible nicknames?

I agree, Maisy is nicer.

It's a shop.

Sorry not keen, it might just about suit a 5 yr old but not a strong, smart intelligent woman I hope your dd grows up to be.

I know a little 4yo Macey and she is so sweet.

Granted, it's not a name I'd choose. I prefer Maisy as I'm not a fan of American-sounding names (Robyn is the only exception for me) but if you like Macy, have it. It's got quite a trendy sound, to it's credit :)

I have been watching [sitting through] episodes of Toddlers and Tiaras with an elderly lady who thinks the little girls are adorable!!! Shock However some of the names have to be heard to be believed.
The worst was the name of the mother of one of the girls...Latrina [I kid you not!]
Lots of Madisons,Mackenzies and weird double barrelled names. Not to mention Destinee [sic],Trinity, Peightan [sic] and Queen.
Macy is absolutely fine :)

I don't think Macy's is a particularly upmarket department store

Great for a baby, rubbish for a grown woman. So no, sorry.
