What do you think of Laure as a girl's name? It's listed on Mumsnet's Baby Name Finder.

Surname is Thomas. Also thinking of Angelique, I'm a Francophile when it comes to names at least.....

Love it. I knew a girl called Marie-Laure it really suited her.

Not sure it works with British pronunciation - I think people would struggle to say it correctly beautifully!

I don't think people will pronounce kt properly and will probably think she is Laura.

That's the thing. In France it is pronounced beautifully and distinctly.

In the UK it will be pronounced 'Law' at best

It won't work in England.
