If DP likes Mollie and Harriet what else might he like?

He hates all my names. His suggestions are Shelby (not happening ever), Mollie/Molly and Harriet (nn Hatty).

What else might be up his street? Possible sister to Lilly, Jack and Alexandra (Lexie).

I feel your pain, surely if he hates your choices then you can hate his. I'm sure a name will just come to you both - I had one boy, one girl name that was it

NickNacks · 05/04/2013 21:19

Megan (Meggie)
Charlotte (Lotty)
Matilda (Tilly)

Kyrptonite · 05/04/2013 21:21

Matilda was on my list. He vetoed it. I liked Mattie as the nn though.

With any luck it'll be a boy. We agree on boys names!

Disclaimer- I will not be disappointed if a girl. Just relieved about naming.

I have a Harriet and names we were considering for DD2 were;

Lydia
Susannah
Tessa
Emilia
Madeleine
Beatrice

I really like Harriet. I'm just concerned about some people's pronunciation and it sounding common. Like Natalie IYSWIM.

Also my brother is Harry so that might be a bit weird!

My friend has a Harriet and a Betty. The names do seem to go together.

GwendolineMaryLacey · 05/04/2013 23:34

My dad's dead common and we get by with variations on 'arriet and Harriet with the 'h' but with a glottal stop at the end!

soontobeslendergirl · 06/04/2013 00:00

What about Henrietta with Hetty or Etta for short?

Startail · 06/04/2013 00:13

I know a hyper cute Harriet. It's a good name it can be acute child or a serious grown woman.
