current options (none ruled out but want others to consider!) are:

rosita
eleri (not sure about this as we have no welsh connections!)
rosanne/rosanna/roseanna
callie - love this but it sounds too nickname-y to me so would want a longer version. maybe calandra/calanthe. not too keen on callista, caliopa, calpurnia or caroline.
cora
cara
carrie

also other names i like but have discounted for various reasons are:
jasmine
lauren
nichola

I like merryn too. Would be merry for short though, sweet, but not so good if she wasn't merry, iyswim.

DorisIsWaiting · 05/04/2013 20:21

Merryn is gorgeous as is Calanthe

Alys as a possiblity?

Frikadellen · 05/04/2013 20:24

Rosanna is beautiful and very under used.

Eloisa or Elodie as suggestions?

JamieandtheMagicTorch · 05/04/2013 20:26

Merryn is lovely

I also like CAllie and CAssie

JamieandtheMagicTorch · 05/04/2013 20:26

Marianne

Rosalie? I know a little girl called this, it is such a sweet name.

Or if you like Merryn, how about Meredith?

notallytuts · 05/04/2013 20:59

Ooh I had forgotten about Seren, love that name too but not sure about the Welshness of it again.

Not too keen on Alys but I do like Alyssa. And maybe Alexia

What do people think to Eleri? I really like the welsh pronounciation (El-air-i) but on a previous thread a lot of english posts said they thought it would rhyme with celery and I quite like that pronounciation too - not sure how commonly its used though as I wouldnt want people to think we just didnt know how to pronounce it!
