Hiya, this is hyperthetical at the moment - just starting TTC DC2.
Went to Willows farm today & thought that Willow would make a really pretty girls name.
What are your thoughts?

It is a nice name but it would just constantly remind me of the Warwick Davis movie of the same name.

DD is called Willow I love it. She was one of only 2 girls in the baby ward 2 years ago and they were both called Willow it is very popular round here

butterfliesinmytummy · 03/04/2013 18:39

I'm not sure about willow tbh, we know 3 willows aged 3 and under and I think it's the Olivia of tomorrow......

Still18atheart · 03/04/2013 18:43

Not keen, sounds too away with the fairies imo

legalalien · 03/04/2013 18:52

Makes me think of cricket, but then it is that time of year.

BuntyPenfold · 03/04/2013 23:36

It seems to be unisex now, and getting very popular.

UnnamedFemaleProtagonist · 03/04/2013 23:40

I like it, but is it wrong to think it would only suit an ethereal type child? ??
Whoever said up thread that Winter is a crap name, I don't reckon it is, I think it's pretty cool.

BuntyPenfold · 03/04/2013 23:44

I once met a Midwinter, think it's fabulous.

justhayley · 08/04/2013 01:34

Iv now decided I love it - all I need to do now is get pregnant & have a girl so I can use it

It is my DD middle name Smile we got a few 'hippy' comments but most like the name

toffeelolly · 08/04/2013 02:01

Love itWink

sashh · 08/04/2013 08:30

It makes me think of witches, not just the Buffy connection but witches often have a willow and a Rowan tree in the garden.

ZolaBuddleia · 08/04/2013 08:42

Not keen. It feels like a default hippy name when the parents are not brave enough for the really 'out there' ones!

It's a bit drippy for me, prefer Rowan. LOVE Winter!

UnrequitedSkink · 08/04/2013 08:48

Witches don't have Rowan trees, Rowan is planted outside a front door to keep witches away. Just saying.

Willow is a lovely name.

SmellieWellies · 08/04/2013 08:50

Love Willow. It sounds soft, gentle.
