I spy with my little eye something beginning with...Z!

DH and I like the name Zuzu for a girl (after Zuzu on It's A Wonderful life.)

However, we think that when she gets older it wouldn't be a practical name.

Are there any names beginning with a Z that can be shortened to Zuzu?

I think that Zuzu is one of Zoe Zebra's little twin sisters in Peppa Pig. I think a Zooey would struggle with being called Zoe all the time. X is also pronounced like Z so something like Xanthe could work.

I think Zoe is best and shortening to ZuZu is very cute!

Zuzu's name came from Zu Zu Ginger Snaps which were round drop cookies produced beginning in 1901 by National Biscuit Company (NBC) - later changed to Nabisco - until the early 1980s. In the movie George Bailey refers to his daughter as "my little gingersnap."

so that's why she was called Zuzu, presumably had red hair!
