Middle name for Sophie?

scaredbutexcited · 21/03/2013 20:19

Hi. My DH and I are both happy with Sophie for our litle girl (3 weeks to go!) but struggling to find a middle name we both like.

What do you think would go well?

We have already vetoed the following for various reasons:
Elizabeth (this was my favourite)
Isabelle
Ann
Amelia

Any inspiration welcome Smile

Hi, Sophie is a lovely name - good choice :)

For something timeless how about
Sophie Grace.

Pamsie · 21/03/2013 21:31

My dd, 17 months, is Sophie Grace.

Purringkittenmama · 21/03/2013 21:37

Sophie is a lovely name. I like Louise or Jane- a bit old fashioned I guess, but good as a middle name? Or Rebecca?

anonymosity · 21/03/2013 23:25

I came on to say Sophie Grace - but its already said. I do like your list - esp Elizabeth which I used as a 2nd name for my own DD (and sort of wish I had used it as her 1st).

don't know why but Alicia just sprung to mind

SingingSands · 21/03/2013 23:47

I have a Sophie Louisa. So obviously, I think Louisa would be lovely Grin

If we had had another girl, she would have been Sophie Maëlle. Still love the combo.

dottygamekeeper · 22/03/2013 01:11

I have a Sophie Rose - congratulations on your imminent arrival, hope all goes well for you

Still18atheart · 22/03/2013 01:55

I know quite a few Sophie Maries and Sophie Roses

PuffPants · 22/03/2013 09:58

Sophie is lovely - much better than faddy Sophia.

Choose anything you like for a middle name. Nobody but you and she will ever really know/care. It's always nice to honour a family member.

scaredbutexcited · 22/03/2013 10:46

Thank you for all your suggestions.

I particularly like Lousie/Louisa. Rose and Grace are very classic too.

Will see what DH thinks later!

Suzieismyname · 27/03/2013 17:04

well, Sophie Elizabeth is the best choice, but then I'm pretty biased!
we went for grandmothers' names for our DDs' middle names but if I hadn't then perhaps something more 'wild'?
we chose Sophie because it's such a classic, beautiful name so you could be a bit zany with the middle name because she won't need to use it as backup.

elah11 · 27/03/2013 19:37

dottygamekeeper I have a Sophie Rose also , lovely name Wink
