I find out a week on tuesday what we are having. I posted a while back that we have chosen Miles Adam if it's a boy. We were set on Faye Linda back then but i have since really gone off Faye and am looking at other options... i really like:

Jocelyn
Matilda Lin
Mila Lin

Middle name has to be Lin as OH has insisted as it's his mum (was meant to be Linda but i hate it :-/ so compromised with Lin)
I really want Jocelyn though and i'm thinking it technically has the name Lin in it but spelt differently..
what do you think?? Or any other names you can think of will be much appreciated :) xx

I like Matilda Lin best (too many 'l's is Mila Lin) and think Jocelyn is lovely too.

cheekyweelassie · 18/03/2013 12:04

Matilda Lin is lovely x

I think jocelyn is lovely & the prefer it to your other options?

It's lovely to honour a special person, especially if they have passed away- but it still has to be a name you both agree on & like. Including 'Lin' in another name is a good compromise in my opinion.

Thanks :) i do like it a lot and luckily OH does too :) xx

Excellent news.
Just to add an alternative- could use linette/lynette as middle name.

Willow36 · 18/03/2013 12:11

Jocelyn would get my vote Smile

fedupwithdeployment · 18/03/2013 12:25

I like Jocelyn .... my son is a Jocelyn. However, we hardly ever call him that - he is a Joss or a Jossy most of the time.

I think it is a lovely name for a girl.

sunnyday123 · 18/03/2013 12:40

Not a fan of jocelyn sorry - less so with another Lin afterwards. I'm just not sure it's pretty enough for me. I do like Matilda though! Mile is lovely too but doesn't sound as good with Lin.

sunnyday123 · 18/03/2013 12:41

You could have jocelyn without the middle name though? You don't need middle names as let's face it who ever uses them! Both my dds have no middle name.

BourbonsAndTea · 18/03/2013 12:46

What about Jocelyn Darcie (or another middle name beginning Da..) That way the name Linda is there. I like Matilda and Mila too but Jocelyn is lovely and not too popular Smile

badtasteflump · 18/03/2013 12:50

I don't like Jocelyn - sorry. It's a really popular name where I live and although it's ok, I don't like the fact that everyone seems to shorten it to 'Joss'.

Matilda Lin is lovely though Smile

FriedSprout · 18/03/2013 13:01

Jocelyn, one of my favourite names, nn Josie?

Don't think Lin as middle name works though.

Linda would work although you don't like it much

Linette as someone mentioned would work too

Like suggestion also of Jocelyn Darcie or Jocelyn Matilda

Or your suggestion that Jocelyn has the Lyn sound in it.

mrsR1991 · 18/03/2013 14:27

yeh just to clear up if we have Jocelyn it won't have lin after it lol that would sound silly! i am torn between matilda lin and Jocelyn now lol... xxx
