Still in the ttc stages for dc2 but dp and I are discussing names already (bit presumptuous maybe) but which of these do mumsnetters like?

Jessica Anna
Lydia Anna
Maisie Anna
Amelia Anna
Alicia (pronounced A-liss-ee-ya not al-ee-sha which I hate!) Anna

I think they are all beautiful names but none of them 'flow' when spoken aloud because each first name ends with a vowel.

You are obviously set on Anna for a middle name so perhaps a first name ending with a consonant would sound better - Caroline, Charlotte, Madeleine for example.

exoticfruits · 13/03/2013 18:37

I agree - if you really want Anna then don't have the first name ending in 'a'.

Coffee1Sugar · 13/03/2013 18:37

Hmm yes I see what you mean. Anna was my twin sister who died so it's a definite!

Anna is lovely, but if you say your names aloud they just don't flow.

exoticfruits · 13/03/2013 18:42

You need so etching more like
Juliet Anna
Catherine Anna
You don't realise how many girl's names end with 'a' until you start!

exoticfruits · 13/03/2013 18:43

Sorry- my iPad goes off on tangents of its own! 'Something more like......'

cherrycherry41 · 13/03/2013 18:45

Lydia is one of my all time favourite names, such a classy graceful name x

saintmerryweather · 13/03/2013 18:46

What about anna-maria? Then if its too painful to use anna everyday you could call her Ria or something similar as a nickname.

Coffee1Sugar · 13/03/2013 18:48

Lydia and Maisie are my favourites. But that'd be too much of a mouthful wouldn't it: Lydia Maisie Anna E-son (three syllable surname)...think I've answered that for myself Grin

You could have Anna Lydia and then just use Lydia for everyday.

exoticfruits · 13/03/2013 18:54

Or do you like Annabel?

nectarini1983 · 13/03/2013 20:02

Alicia. ...dont like Anna particularly though but sounds ok as a middle name.

Just beware of the AA initials. ...alcoholics annoymous link.

Letticetheslug · 13/03/2013 20:07

Anna (other names ended in a are available) leads into a second name

Anna Marie, Anna Jane, Anna Louise..

thezebrawearspurple · 14/03/2013 19:33

Emily Anna
Rosalind Anna
Isobel Anna
Charlotte Anna
Lily Anna
Seren Anna

Lydia Maisie Anna could work.
