Is Ava TOO popular?

My husband and I only have one name we both like for our little girl... Ava.

Only problem is it seems to be very popular in the last 5 - 10yrs, not only in the UK - but US and Australia.

We don't know any Avas at all.

Do you think it's too popular to use? Also what is a good middle name with Ava? My husband like Ava Elizabeth, but I don't...

I honestly don't think using the name of your husband's friend's daughter as your daughter's middle name should be a problem for anyone unless they are completely bonkers precious. Especially not when it's such a normal name as Elizabeth.

Ava Elizabeth is a lovely name. No need to overthink it.

I have a little 4mo Ava. Here in Ireland Ava was in the top 10 last year, which I didn't know when we settled on it. I love it, think it is very pretty and yet old and classic. We haven't met any other baby Ava although there are three (aged 7-12) in the school I teach in. Everyone is very complimentary about it.

Oh and we went for Ava Christina after dmil.

I know a few Avas around the age of 5-7 now, but no babies. I think a few people might've been deterred by its popularity so haven't used it over the last few years. My best friend was going to use Ava but was put off by the popularity.

If you love it, use it.
