LOVE it.......stunning name, I am considering it myself. It is a boys name from the bible...anyone who uses it for a girl is just wrong!

TwinTum · 11/03/2013 18:46

There was an Ezra in DDs class. DD was talking about Ezra and my assumed from the name that he was a girl. But that probably says more about my mum than anything else!

BeeBopDingALing · 11/03/2013 18:48

Unusual and very nice. Can't imagine a girl Ezra.

Jojobump1986 · 11/03/2013 18:50

I love it. Bit too 'out there' for DH though or it'd definitely be on the shortlist for DS2!

HappyJustToBe · 11/03/2013 18:52

Really like it.

roundtable · 11/03/2013 18:55

I have an Ezra! Fantastic name, I'm hoping he lives up to it's meaning of helper! :)

MrsOakenshield · 11/03/2013 18:55

love it. Quite deep south American overtones, but in a good way. I can imagine him being a Very Cool teenager!

roundtable · 11/03/2013 18:56

Its Blush

Bambalam · 11/03/2013 19:01

Beautiful choice.
I know one who is dark, handsome, has a ponytail and a general aura of untouchable coolness. That's what the name reminds me of now.

honeytea · 11/03/2013 19:01

I really like it!

ClaryCazalet · 11/03/2013 19:01

Love it - sounds and looks nice written too.

FriggFRIGGisPoorlySick · 11/03/2013 19:40

Love it,I know a little Ezra, and if I didn't,it'd be on my list!

2kidsintow · 11/03/2013 20:22

I've only ever come across it as the name of a character in one of the Kate Daniels (Ilona Andrews) novels. It's Kate's aunt's name in the book (but then her aunt has been alive through many milennia and was mistaken as a man in all the fables, according to the story - hence it being a woman with a 'man's' name. )

Of course that's all fiction. :)

I think it's quite nice. Certainly very easy for the little 'un to learn to write when they get to that age.

starsthatshine · 12/03/2013 16:33

Love it! Had dc2 been a boy it would have been a contender. DH wasn't keen mind you.

williaminajetfighter · 12/03/2013 19:32

Not so keen. Reminds me of poet Ezra Pound who was a fascinating character but ultimately Nazi sympathiser.

OkayHazel · 13/03/2013 02:40

Ezra Chater from Stoppard's Arcadia! Love Ezra!

dimdommilpot · 13/03/2013 10:25

If DD wasnt Esmé it would be a contender for any future DS (along side Enzo)

Minty82 · 13/03/2013 10:33

My only association would be Pound. Never met an Ezra but I like it! I love most biblical names tbh.

FreedomOfTheTess · 13/03/2013 11:01

I blooming well love it.

It's my nephew's name, so I am somewhat biased though.

gabsid · 13/03/2013 11:12

Haven't heard the name before, but the ending in 'a' would suggest to me that its a girl's name.

TheYamiOfYawn · 13/03/2013 11:14

Love it.
