I think it may just be the two of them together on twins kinda reminds me of tweedeldee and tweedeldumb (forgive my spelling attempt)

My youngest daughter calls one of her elder sisters Lulu, her actual name is Olivia but she's always Lulu to her baby sister.

Lucia (pronounced Lew-chia)?

LuluLovesYou · 04/03/2013 13:31

Like Olivia or Olive, I can't have Lucia as its used by family!

Lulu on its own, or perhaps:

  • Luella
  • Lulita
  • Luanne/Luanna
  • Lucia (pronounced the Italian way, Loo-chee-ah)
  • Lucienne
  • Lucinde
  • Luetta

I know a Lulu, and she is Lucinda Louise ie first and middle name, not hyphenated. Always thought it was lovely.

I was always called Lulu until I turned 10, decided it was too babyish and told everyone to call me by my full name, Louise. It is always good to have a grown up option, I reckon.

Having said that, Lulu is a fab nickname and I would love to go back to it. Bit late now though!

I think Luella sounds more substantial as a full name if you are going down that route though.

That's the thing, "Lulu" might not suit her as she gets older - good to have a safety net.

I like the idea of having two Lu- names like Lucinda Louise.

I know a Lucienne and I think that's beautiful.
