We have an Isabella and are considering the following for dd2....

Imogen - nn Mimi
Tallulah - nn Lula
Penelope - nn Penny
Amelia - nn Millie ?

No middle name as dbl barrel surname & don't want to turn into the freeman hardy willis'!!!!

Opinions welcome....

Agree, think Amelia is lovely name but agree a bit too popular now.

Open to suggestions....

Penelope or Amelia, totally depends in how it sounds with surname.

Imogen too close to Isabella and Talulah is a dancers stage name. I'm sorry you can't call a baby Talulah.

Agree with no middle name, DH has 3 fore names and a reasonably long surname and the whole lot is a right mouthful.

DessieLou · 02/03/2013 00:29

Definately Penelope!:-)

Startail · 02/03/2013 00:29

X posted, but at least I was slightly diplomatic.

bootsycollins · 02/03/2013 00:32

Have you considered Marrianne?

dragonflymama · 02/03/2013 00:32

Laughing at stripper reference...I know, but find something catchy about it, maybe it's the hormones!!!

Like Georgina but dh doesn't & friend has a Harriet.

Not keen on Tallulah for same reason as TheSecondComing

How about Cecilia? Louisa? Eloise? Serena? Alice? Annabel?

Penelope is ok, but I prefer the nn Nell

Penelope. By a mile. Also sounds good with Isabella.

Gwennan · 05/03/2013 08:59

Not keen on Mimi but I like Imogen. I suppose you can't really have an Issy and an Immy though, can you?

Penelope is nice, as is Amelia. Amelia probably is the most similar in style to Isabella as they are both popular but fairly classic names.

Tallulah sounds fabulous to me - it's so cheerful-sounding! - but I know I'd cringe if it was my own name. Perhaps you could consider Louisa, Lucinda, Lucia or Lucy to get the nickname Lula. You might also like Susannah and Tabitha too.

Best of luck!

I haven't seen Penelope suggested for a while, very nice. Sounds good with Isabella. Next I would go for Imogen.

Thinking of something else to suggest, actually am stumped for once.

Oh, what about Felicity? Fliss, Flick...

BeeBopDingALing · 05/03/2013 11:21

Imogen - lovely. Prefer nn Immy.
Tallulah - I just can't imagine a person being called that as it seems a cats name.
Penelope - A little old fashioned but ok.
Amelia - I hate this name, sounds so whiney.
