I Loveeee Brooke and am considering it myself! :)

Haylebop12 · 27/02/2013 14:31

Well I'm bias as I have an Amelia Smile

We too have a one syllable surname so I find a first name with 2 or more gp better. Rather than one iyswim?

Haylebop12 · 27/02/2013 14:35

Oh and Amelia can be shortened to Mia.

WingDefence · 27/02/2013 14:51

When you say Brooke Kench it just rolls into one: Brookench which doesn't really work.

We have a single syllable surname too and they can take first names with longer syllables. I think Maddison Kench sounds nicest but Amelia is a lovely name too.

amck5700 · 27/02/2013 14:54

Not Oscarina or Finn-leigh then :(

Out of those I think Amelia is the nicest.

Don't like Brooke it doesn't sound like a proper name for some reason - others are okay

Hai1988 · 27/02/2013 15:51

No dont really like the ring of any of them amck

That was my worry with Brooke is that i wasnt sure of it with our surname. :(

Yes, Brooke is a lovely name but it doesn't work with the surname

amck5700 · 27/02/2013 15:55

I like Maddison the best, though I would spell it Madison (I think it's more standard)

Brooke is nice, Mia is ok but I don't like Amelia (mealy sound gets to me)

Hai1988 · 28/02/2013 08:26

Think we are leaning.more towards Maddison now, dh has now said he doesnt like Amelia Confused
