I've namechanged to preserve anonymity.

I think it might need to be something that doesn't end in -ie or -y, though I like a couple of of those names. I quite like traditional/old-fashioned names.

Mabel
Jemima
Mary - DH not convinced.
Polly - too plain?

Barnaby - too many "b"s to go with Betsy?
Stanley - DH not convinced.
Felix - quite like it but not sure if it's a bit pansy (no idea why I think this).
Spike - I love it but not sure we're brave enough really.

Surname begins with T.

I love Ralph, Martha, George, Kitty, Delilah, Matilda, Grace, but already in use by close friends!

Do you know a little Betsy? What are her siblings called?

I think Stanley is great. What about Spencer?

For girls I love Miriam or Marisol. They go well with Betsy. Elise? I like that too.

Definitely Polly if a girl. It is a beautiful name, not plain at all. I have one myself and always get complimented on it. Also good as there are not loads out there. Her brother is Theodore shortened to Theo - also a lovely name.

Thanks guys (and sorry for late reponse)...

Girls names I feel are easier. There are about 4 or 5 I'd happily pick. Boys are trickier. Gus is v cute and I love the name Sam but that's my ex's name so a no-no. I like Arthur too but DH hates it.

What did you all reckon on Betsy and Barnaby/Barney?
