Camilla or Vincent (Frances and Vincent are my husbands favourite names ever Grin)

We have daughters so we never used Vincent - I also liked Dominic. I think Sylvie is nicer than Sylvia - what about Lydia?

Sashapineapple · 23/02/2013 12:43

I like Vivienne, dislike the other girls names and the boys.

Sheepswool · 23/02/2013 13:24

I am a Vivien - there aren't many of us about. (My Mum loved Vivien Leigh in Gone with the Wind apparently!

Geranium3 · 23/02/2013 13:43

i like camilla and vivienne
and benedict and francis
also
cicely?
genevieve?
eloise?
ralph/raphael?

Love your choices.... All fabulous

Happysurprise · 23/02/2013 22:02

I very much like Sylvia and Vivienne. Camilla is a pretty name but Charles' wife just puts me off - not that I have anything against her especially, just she come into my head as soon as I think of the name.

Frances - meehh, sorry, just sounds very plain and boring.

Vincent I like for a boy. Jon Travolta in Pulp Fiction :)

Rhubarbgarden · 23/02/2013 22:08

I like Frances.

Zaphiro · 25/02/2013 01:43

Having thought some more I also like Juliet. And Bram (not so Abraham though...) Edward is also lovely. I feel like Sylvie is short for Sylvia, unless said in a French accent?

Love Frances and Vivienne as well as Vincent and Benedict.

Zaphiro · 25/02/2013 11:02

Never met a Lydia who wasn't very, very highly strung. That'd put me off even if it is wrong!

Love the name Camilla.

LittleMilla · 26/02/2013 12:16

My name is Camilla.

Everyone assumes I am well posh, even though I am not. My friends joke that my mum saved thousends in private school fees when naming me.

I was either going to be Amelia or Camille/Camilla as my dad's mother loved Camelia (sp) plant and she passed away whilst my mum was pg with me.

Littlecherublegs · 26/02/2013 21:28

Not keen on any of your girls names - maybe Sylvia at a push.
I do like Benedict though and Vincent is ok.

Beatrice
Josephine
Clara
Fiona
Bridget
Helena
Annabel
Violet
Lilian

Patrick
Tristan
Edmund
Victor
Quentin
Peter
Jasper
Emmett
Fabian
Raymond
Colin
Alec

Thanks for the lists, Little Smile

I like Violet from your list but worry it wouldn't be pronounced properly. I also like Julia but prefer Juliet. Your lists contain quite a lot of mine and DP's family names! I love Raymond; that's now on the list.

Love your choices, op. All lovely underused classic names. Particularly like
Camilla, Vivienne and Vincent. Also love Littlecherub's list - in fact both my dd and ds's names are listed there.

Littlecherublegs · 01/03/2013 17:44

Ha, glad to be of help! Smile
