Hunter...is it too harsh sounding?

Really struggling to come up with a boys name. What do you all think of Hunter? I want something strong and manly! Will welcome any suggestions!

I love the name hunter (and Im a veggie! haha) but I just think of it as too american now......which is a shame as it sounds quite old english
