Our baby is 4 weeks old today? It would be great to have some feedback.

If your baby is already 4 weeks old then she has her name already doesn't she or are you still undecided before registering?
I don't like Harriet at all but love Rosanna. Roanne is also a nice name if you are still undecided.

I love Hazel! Beautiful name

DevonGirl098 · 20/02/2013 14:56

The difficulty is both agreeing!!

Same here, I dislike Harriet but Rosanna Hazel is beautiful.

What are the other options that you and DP have got?
The same three names just in a different order, or any other possible names either of you like?

gladders · 20/02/2013 16:38

a vote for Harriet here! Works for small child (Hattie/Harrie/Hats) right up to being a solid grown up name. Also has the advantage of being quite unusual?

DorisIsWaiting · 20/02/2013 16:42

Like it but initials would make her a HRH ...

Lollybrolly · 20/02/2013 16:59

I think its lovely and the initial thing wouldnt worry me.

its so hard to decide sometimes. We were still chopping and changing our mind on the way to the registrars office 10 minutes before closing on the very last day we could legally register our DD.

Eskino · 20/02/2013 17:03

Harriet and Hazel are both H-orrible.

Hazel sounds ugly and Harriet makes me think of a small fat pony riding spoilt brat.

Rosanna, however, is lovely.

Eskino · 20/02/2013 17:05

Ps Congrats on your new baby. Our new dd is 4 weeks today too! Smile

:-o my name is Harriet and I've honestly never seen a bad word said about it on mumsnet!! I don't mind, it's just interesting. I think HRH is not an issue really, I have potentially mildly humorous initials but initials are hardly ever used IME. Hazel is lovely!

zingally · 20/02/2013 17:28

I've never liked Harriet. But only because there was a real bitchy cow at primary school by that name.

I like Hazel. It's my sisters name! Very "English rose" I think. It's traditional, but not a name you hear a lot.

Rosanna I also like.

So personally I'd chop Harriet out and have some combo of Hazel and Rosanna.

Hamnvik · 20/02/2013 17:33

I like them all on their own but not together.
Either Harriet Rosanna or Hazel Rosanna.
Although I'm biased as I'm a Hazel and I love my name so I think you should pick that!

Gimmeechocolate · 20/02/2013 20:30

My cousin is Harriet Rose and surname begins withH. Initials HRH have never been an issue!

I think Harriet Rosanna is very pretty.

StrawberryMojito · 20/02/2013 20:32

I think it's a lovely name but for gods sake, you've had 9 months and 4 weeks make a bloody decision!!!
