I love Phoebe. My perception is that it's slightly less popular than the others too, but I haven't checked that. Second choice would be Olivia.

4TheLoveOfBob · 19/02/2013 12:31

I like Phoebe a lot.

I prefer the Italian Livia to Olivia.

Allalonenow · 19/02/2013 12:31

Eleanor, with Phoebe a close second.

flopsy1974 · 19/02/2013 13:10

Eleanor is lovely. Also like Phoebe. Not keen on the others Smile

  • Eleanor - quite an elegant name and not common at all
sjclarke86 · 20/02/2013 21:10

Eleanor. If you don't mind it shortened to Ellie

Willow36 · 21/02/2013 13:43

Eleanor is nice but I'm not keen on Ellie as a nn

Olivia is a lovely name - I'd use Livvy as a nn

Phoebe is a fabulous name IMO

What about Sofia instead of Sophie?

serin · 22/02/2013 00:04

Eleanor is nice.

There are eleven Olivias in my daughters year at secondary school (out of approx 70 girls)

Lollybrolly · 22/02/2013 01:33

Sophie and Phoebe are my favourites from your list. Followed by Emily.

Too many Eleanors and Ellies these days. Lots of Olivias as well.

EllenParsons · 22/02/2013 01:48

Eleanor!

Gugglebum · 22/02/2013 03:36

There's just something about Sophie. I can picture it on any type of girl. Love it.

Longdistance · 22/02/2013 03:50

I have an Eleanor who's 3.5. Still love her name.

ripsishere · 22/02/2013 03:50

Eleanor or Elena or Ellen.
Safia is a nice alternative to Sophie.

I love Phoebe.

ZolaBuddleia · 22/02/2013 11:26

I'd go Sophia rather than Sophie, not mad keen on the others. Eleanor always sounds rather doughty and plain to me.

I'd love Phoebe and Olivia if they weren't so popular.

TheCountessOlenska · 22/02/2013 11:27

Phoebe and Olivia my favourites from your list.

Sophie and Emily both nice but a bit over-used round my way.

Don't like Eleanor or Ellie

TenthMuse · 22/02/2013 11:48

They're all very popular, but that might not be an issue for you. Like Phoebe best, followed by Eleanor - Phoebe Eleanor would work well I think. Phoebe somehow manages to sound a bit fresher and quirkier than the others, despite being just as popular.

MsAkimbo · 22/02/2013 13:56

Sophie is adorable and one of those names a child can grow into as an adult. Same with Emily.

thethreeblondies · 22/02/2013 14:05

I've got an Olivia nn Livi and Eleanor nn Ella, great choices op! Not as popular as Poppy's and Isabella's round here! Other names I liked are Amelia and Beatrice, don't think u will go wrong using any of the options, I found writing the names with middle names and surnames down helped as the right ones just looked right! Smile Smile

SugarMeFingers · 23/02/2013 12:46

Eleanor, I love the nn Nell!

flowerygirl · 23/02/2013 13:07

Eleanor is lovely and less popular. Could also be shortened to Nellie which I think is very cute!

Thumbwitch · 23/02/2013 13:09

Eleanor - love this, and Helena too - wanted it myself if we had a girl but already in the family so couldn't.
Olivia - getting too popular, although I like it
Phoebe - like it
Emily - faaarrr too popular - Emilia is nicer
Sophie - also faaaarrrr too popular and I prefer Sophia anyway.
