Really need baby girl name help. Please...

Hi all,

My wife is a regular on here but this is my first post. I am in need of some advice.

I am about to become a dad for the second time (to another beautiful girl) and my wife has her heart set on the name Seraphina. I am however not convinced. I don't love the name (I don't hate it either) but I was so proud to tell everyone our first daughters name. I don't get that feeling this time around.

I like names such as Poppy and Amelie but she says they're too popular and someone she knows already has a baby with these names (and other general top 50 names too).

Can anyone make any suggestions?

Here you can download the England & Wales girls names for 2011.

If you got to Table 6 on the spreadsheet you can see all the names. So you can look at say the top 500, and find some names you like and you can show you're wife just how popular or unpopular they really are. Plus should give you some inspiration.

Not Evelyn! She will become another Eve (one third of girls in DDs class named a variant of Eve). Personally I like Maggie or Zoe avoid the faddish ones.
