I love this name. DH said it sounds made up (he's English, I'm Scottish).

I am with your dh. I would go for a name that is a bit more recognisable and practical.

My DS is Struan. There are a few more I know around here (in Scotland). I still love his name and would struggle to find another Scottish name for a boy that I like as much.

I'm in Scotland and there's a baby Struan at toddler group. I'm not keen but DH likes it and says it's a perfectly acceptable Scottish name.

I have an Angus and we're dithering between Struan and Ruaridh for no 2. Struan definitely sounds better in my Dh's Scottish accent than my very English one.

I'm an Irish speaker and I really like a lot of Gaelic boys' names.

I also really like Seoras (not sure if there should be an accent.)
