I'm so stuck on a boys name. Girls name was all picked out so it was inevitable that I'd be carrying a boy! Currently 26 weeks and can't come up with anything! I like traditional names, not old names though. I don't like made up names.
My partners family is Scottish so happy to have a scottish name.
Middle names will be David.
I worked with children for 7 years do there are so many names I wouldn't use!!
Any help appreciated!

You are right in hinting that often behaviour is linked to names. In thirty years of teaching, I came across a lot of boys called Adam - nearly all pains in the neck!

Then we named our son Adam and that changed everything. He's absolutely perfect, of course! No, seriously!

And in case you haven't spotted it yet, 'She Adam Young'.

You have my sympathies. But it was inevitable that you would find girls' names easy if you were carrying a boy.

Thanks for the suggestions, with such a big family, most of the names I'd use have already been taken. Our choice of girls name was Sophie Ellen. Very popular I know but we both loved it!

if there is nothing here that you like, what are the names you like but can't use?

Sophie Ellen is a lovely name.

We had girls names picked out too but we had two boys :) 2nd one didn't have a name for a week and a half!

AlisonL1981 · 02/02/2013 22:35

I like William, Joseph, Archie, James. Alexander.

Alistair is the scottish form of Alexander. We almost just had Alec but it didn't really suit him.

blindworm · 03/02/2013 00:46

I like Alec! Not sure why there aren't more Alecs considering Alex is so popular.
How about:
Ben (Could be Benjamin or Benedict)
Marcus
Francis
Christopher
Elliot
Thomas
Oscar
Cameron
