We would like to honour all 3 female grandparents by using bits of each of their names in our DD2s middle name, any ideas/thoughts/suggestions welcome!!

D'you mean something like Bajaka?

Couldn't you just give her three middle names?

amazingmumof6 · 15/01/2013 17:51

you mean which you should choose? - in that case I absolutely hate the name Erika (the nastiest snake bitch I have ever known, sorry) so not going to vote that...

or as in make them into one name? - challenge accepted!

you could do Raneka (last syllable of each pushed together) - which I've just made up, but sounds like a girl's name IMO

what do you think?

misfitmum · 15/01/2013 20:26

interesting! yes, i mean make them into one name...i can also substitute barbara with elizabeth (her middle name)?

I've got to think about this more.... any substitutes for Erika? please?

misfitmum · 15/01/2013 20:45

no, she only has that name, but u could just use one/two letters from the name? :)

Lisenka? Liz-ane-ka....

Or choose one name (I'd pick Elizabeth) and save the others for a mythical future DD?

SirBoobAlot · 15/01/2013 20:56

Erika is an amazing name.

Really really awesome.

Just saying Grin

OkayHazel · 15/01/2013 21:01

Please don't make a name out of 3 names. Its getting into Princess Tiammii territory if you try that (A name made from Peter Andre and Katie Price's mother's names).

nevergoogle · 15/01/2013 21:04

Heather and Erica mean the same thing if that's of any use.

nevergoogle · 15/01/2013 21:05

Barbarica? Grin

nevergoogle · 15/01/2013 21:07

Jeb? boys name though.

misfitmum · 15/01/2013 21:07

haha....yes it does pose a few problems doesn't it? ah well...maybe not then! it was just an idea but it is proving difficult!!

two middles - Eliza Jane

(Could you get away with Eliza for Erika and Barbara/Elizabeth?)

nevergoogle · 15/01/2013 21:13

Heather Elizabeth Jane Surname.

Job done Grin

amazingmumof6 · 15/01/2013 21:15

sirboobalot - the one I know has ruined a lot of lives and is still causing a lot of problems (legal stuff) - hate her, not the name of course...sorry

I actually used to like the name Eric for a boy - you couldn't pay me enough money to choose either, ever...

milkandribena · 15/01/2013 21:17

ohh umm

Jarka
Karane - uses the endings of all of the names
Elkane (uses elizabeth)

that's really hard

Raneka sound nice
Jeb (?)
Bej ? - apparently it is an word milanese and romania

Could you do initials instead - BJE to do first names and middle names?

SirBoobAlot · 15/01/2013 21:18

I assure you I am absolutely lovely Wink

I love my name, have never met another Erika, and only one Erica before.

amazingmumof6 · 15/01/2013 21:18

nevergoogle - that's a good one, sounds lovely!

Tingalingle · 15/01/2013 21:21

Rebecca Jane? (goes off at tangent)
Wonder if that's how Jekka McVicar (garden writer) got her name.

Tingalingle · 15/01/2013 21:21

Or I know an Elka. Any good?

badtime · 18/01/2013 15:04

'Varenka' is a genuine eastern European version of Barbara (which I think it sounds least like of the three names).
