What're your thoughts on Calliope?? (one of the muses is greek mythology, muse of epic poetry if I'm not mistaken)

I like it pronounced "Cal-eye-oh-pee" but others have suggested that most people would say it like "Cal-ee-ope".

Is it a bit too pretentious and "out there"?

Very sorry and don't know why but it sounds like a horse's name to me. Also was not sure until I read the thread whether it was a girl or boys name. Callie is lovely though.
