I have a DD 2yo called Saskia.

Now Im 17+5 weeks with twins, had a private scan and its one of each flavour.

DH is Dutch so needs to work in both languages.

Our surname is a short, and works with most names.

Happy to have an unusual name, but equally comfortable with names like Toby, Annabelle etc!

Help!

How about two syllable names (that aren't shortened) that might go with a short surname:

Florence & Arlo
Clara & Quentin
Beatrice & Fabian

I'm so jealous you're having twins one of each!! JACKPOT Grin

Blending · 11/01/2013 19:07

Thanks! some fantastic suggestions, walking around saying them out loud!

Yes definately hit the jackpot! Much wanted and hoped for, DD took 6yrs and a few goes on IVF, and these were "in the freezer" so didn't hold out any hope of the IVF working...but BINGO!

Need to run them passed DH later, so will update then.

Congratulations Blending! We've got b/g twins - 15 months now. We had a boys name we loved but struggled with the girl for months. For example, I love Clara but DH said it reminded him of a character in back to the future III?! Apparently she is a nice girl in the film. It was a battle.

Really loving Permissions suggestions.

Dashiell and Lara
Elijah and Faith
Theodore and Imogen
Felix and Clara

Jackpot and then some. Very best of luck!

I have one of each twins too. Personally I think starting with the same letter sound does make it a lot easier to call them out, and we have ended up nicknaming with the same letter as you are generally calling them together! All this 'them being individuals' can go to far to be honest. Mine are very, very much their own people - totally different characters and interests. Being a boy and a girl and non identical will generally do that anyway, so may as well celebrate some twinness. Totally regret not alliterating their names now.

I liked Kristen or Kirsten for a girl or Claudia (but perhaps too like Saskia)

Carl and Kirsten?

Max and Miriam

MerryMarigold · 13/01/2013 21:32

They were going to be James and Tamsin for ages, but anyway, didn't end up with either of those names as bottled it a couple of weeks before!

Nuttyfilly · 13/01/2013 21:35

BlueBowTie · 13/01/2013 23:15
