Help - can't name ds4 - here's our shortlist....

So I have 3 boys and ds4 is due in 9 weeks....

So far I have a George, Thomas and Ollie.

We have a shortlist of names which we like but struggling to come to a decision and DH and I have different favourites.

Shortlist is:
Monty (Montague) - bit concerned that too much like a dog's name and the Monty Python connection!
Hugo
Henry (DH doesn't particularly like it)
Theo (Theodore)
Edward (but couldn't use Ted as short name as with our surname would be a clothes label!)

Can't remember the other names we liked as they are on a list at home but will add on to this thread later!

Any other suggestions welcomed!

Wilfred???

Iris1 · 10/01/2013 21:13

Love Edward best but I think it's nicest nn is ted/teddy.

Have you considered Frederick nn Freddie.

Benjamin is lovely but I would worry about the alliteration too.

How about Albert? I have an Oliver too and I would definitely consider Albert for another son.

StealthToddler · 10/01/2013 21:16

Yep I like Freddie Iris good suggestion!

Sam! It's perfect with George, Thomas and Ollie. I also know a gorgeous baby Hector...

Allalonenow · 10/01/2013 21:28

Hugo
Monty
Theo

I like Theo very much, but you seem against the repeat of initial T, so I've placed it last, Hugo would be my first choice though.

sittinginthesun · 10/01/2013 21:29

I love Edward too, but would be put off for the reason you gave.
Not keen on Monty or Hugo.

OctoberCarrot · 10/01/2013 21:57

Hugo was top of our list for ds1 but is very popular where I am though I do love name and love love love theo. personallyI would avoid Edward with your surname. How about Alex? Or Jamie?

Bakingtins · 10/01/2013 22:33

Jonathan - he could be Jonty as a NN if you liked Monty.
Reuben
Daniel
Isaac

I actually love all of your choices (one's my DS's name).
For some reason, Louis came to mind. Also, have you thought about Benedict instead of Benjamin?

Clary · 11/01/2013 00:51

OP loving your name ideas. My fave of your suggestions is Henry but if DH is not keen that;s not good. I also like Edward. Don't do alliteration, it's often a bad sign for some reason (IME anyway)

Never mind a fashion label, I see you already live with Dr Who btw Grin

HenriettaChicken · 11/01/2013 00:51

Ooh yes, Samuel. Lovely.

Britchic · 11/01/2013 05:02

Hugo.... we have one and he is Hughie as a nn.
I love Sam too.... but our Sam is one of 4 in his year - ouch!!
Also like Theo from your list.
Good luck!
