Edmund and Elsie

These are currently top of our list for DC1 due in a few weeks - any thoughts? Surname begins with A, and middle names are non-negotiable.

Would you shorten Edmund? The reason I ask is that I'm not keen on it, but I think Eddie is kind of cute. Wouldn't choose it myself, though.

Don't like Elsie but love Elise.

They are both gorgeous names. I love both.

Elsie was our choice if ds had been a dd - and don't cringe, but we were seriously contemplating Mabel as the middle name . . . . . Family name you see!

Edmund is great, but wouldn't have been an option for ds as dh brother is the spit of Rowan Atkinson . . . . . Would have been nicknamed Blackadder! But oddly enough Rowan was towards the top of our list . . . .

Now you just think we're mad!

newforest - we had wondered about the Blackadder connection too, but think we can live with that one (luckily we don't have any Blackadder lookalikes in our family )
