What nicknames could be used with this name?

We like the name Ellen for our DD who is due soon and am wondering if anyone knows any Ellens and what nicknames they go by.

I can think of Nell (although have never been quite sure how you get Nell from Ellen but nevermind!) Ellie and Ella but was also wondering if Elsie (which I really like) would be ok?

If you like Elsie,why not just use it,It would seem odd to me to use it as a nn foe Ellen.

I know a two year old Ellen, she is a sweetie and I think she sometimes gets called Nell.

I know an Ellen, she just goes by Ellen. Sometimes Ells maybe! :) it's a nice name as it is.

I really like the name Ellen - very underused but so elegant.

I like the nn Nell as well.

I know an Ellen and she is called Elle

Ellie, ell, nell, Nellie...

Then she'll go to school and could have countless different nicknames which don't relate in any way to her name :o
