Expecting DC2 in May, DS is nicknamed Teddy and full name Theodore, so what do you think of:

Boy:
Cuthbert (Bertie)
Montgomery (Monty)

Girl:
Matilda (Tilly)
Eleanor (Nell/Ellie)
Emilia (milly)
Dorothea (dotty)

Thanks!

Don't like either of the boys names at all. Cuthbert is dreadful. Of the girls names none of them are awful. I like Eleanor best.

mummyloveslucy · 03/01/2013 10:55

I very much like Monty but Montgomery is a bit OTT in my opinion. Cuthbert is o.k, and I like bertie.

I like all of your girls choices, but my favourate is probubly Emilia, although Amilia is was the no.1 girls name of 2012.

lottiegarbanzo · 03/01/2013 11:08

Wow, we'll your boys are much more unusual than your girls. Monty is cute but Montgomery quite imposing for a grown up. Cuthbert is fine.

I wouldn't go for Dorothea because you don't always have control of nns and Thea and Theo are too similar.

SurreyWithAFringeOnTop · 03/01/2013 12:08

Love love love Monty. Really don't like Cuthbert, sorry.

Love Matilda, Tllly not so much.

Love Nell, don't like Emilia/Millie - bit too popular for me.

Dorothea is lovely, as is Dotty, but agree that she may become Thea which is too similar to Theo IMO.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 03/01/2013 17:57

Like Monty but not Cuthbert. How about Bartholomew nn Bartie? Teddy is yummy!

Like Eleanor/Nell but prefer Elinor.

lolalotta · 03/01/2013 20:33

What about Montague NN Monty???

lolalotta · 03/01/2013 20:33

I like Bertie, but not sure about Cuthbert...

Cuthbert/ Bertie is fab!

As is Eleanor/ Nell.

Quite like all your choices though tbh!

Rhubarbgarden · 03/01/2013 22:49

Cuthbert is terrible. Montgomery is ok, if a bit of a mouthful.

Of your girls names, with the exception of Dorothea they are all immensely popular, so much of a muchness, really.

Dorothea sounds daft with Theodore though.

countrykitten · 03/01/2013 22:52

Monty is lovely. Matilda would be my other choice.

Dominodonkey · 03/01/2013 23:17

Public school boys or very middle class area? If not I think your boy's name choices are very unwise.

Emilia is cute.

ArthurandGeorge · 03/01/2013 23:19

Monty and Matilda or Eleanor

LifeIsBetterInFlipFlops · 03/01/2013 23:32

Love them all, but think the suggestion up thread of Montague from Montgomery is great.
