Here's the shortlist of baby names I'm considering that I generated with Mumsnet's Baby Name Finder. Let me know what you think.

Eleanor
Eloise
Freya
Hollie
Niamh
Sophie

DH is no help at all & is leaving all the decisions to me Xmas Confused.

Thanks!

I'm not enthused by any.

They're all nice, pleasant, pretty (except variant spelling of Holly) but I prefer my girl names frillier!

If pushed, I like Niamh best, then Sophie, Eleanor, Holly, Eloise, Freya, Hollie.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 29/12/2012 23:07

I like Elinor (this spelling), Eloise and Niamh.

mellowcat · 29/12/2012 23:09

Eloise is beautiful.

Artemis206 · 29/12/2012 23:25

Thanks - my current favourite is Eloise, followed by Sophie. This bump is getting a different name every week Smile

I like all those names!

The only one that stands out is Eloise. It's a pretty name that's not overused. The others bore me a little gone honest, sorry for brutal honesty there!:-P

FellatioNelson · 30/12/2012 03:41

It's quite a pedestrian choice but they are all pretty. I like Freya best, and Eleanor second.

FellatioNelson · 30/12/2012 03:42

Sophie is a really beautiful name, but I hesitate to choose it because has been popular for so long now - although I wouldn't say it is especially common.

Eloise, lovely name of a friend in my class at school don't know any now and none in either ds's class. So unusual pretty and not too out there IYSWIM

Love Sophie and Eloise :)

Artemis206 · 01/01/2013 11:51

Thanks everyone. We both like Eloise. The only thing is that my name is Alison, I'm known as Allie, and the nn Ellie is just too similar. Are there any other nn for Eloise?

Thanks

Lulu can be short for Eloise

Doingthedo · 01/01/2013 11:56

what about Louisa instead?

Artemis206 · 01/01/2013 14:10

Tis my sister's middle name so I can't really use it. Although it's not her first name, she's often known as Lulu.

I only like Eleanor off the list. It is a lovely name.
