Sebastian.... What do you think?

This is our first DC, we have a name sorted if it is a DD and we were going to call DS William. DH has now vetoed it as he says it makes him think of prince William. If not Sebastian do you have any suggestions? We want something not to popular and not too modern or 'out there' ?

Yep it's nice.

Fairylea · 24/12/2012 22:01

Eva and Sebastian are the two names my relatives have chosen for their dc.. !

DowntonSprouts · 24/12/2012 22:04

DS 24(!) has the middle name Sebastian.

Obviously I loved it.

He hates it, always has, and berates me often for choosing it.

Alisvolatpropiis · 25/12/2012 00:29

It's a great name.

Nishky · 25/12/2012 00:33

My nephew is Sebastian - his friends call him Seb and his mum calls him Barty.

CatchingMockingbirds · 25/12/2012 01:05

I love it but it's my cats name.

Alisvolatpropiis · 25/12/2012 01:33

catching my puppy is called Milly and it has dawned on me I have ruined both Camilla and Emily...nicknames can run to Milly. I liked both of them.

If DC1 is a boy, that's on top of our list currently - the trouble is that I really don't like Seb or Sebby.

raspberryroop · 26/12/2012 19:36

Love - strong but classic and not too popular yet

LadyMetroland · 26/12/2012 21:29

Like Sebastian but wouldn't choose it iyswim. Nice on someone posh.

By the way, Eva/Evie/Ava type names are really really popular at the mo. Not something you'd necessarily know if this is your first dc.

AnnoyedAtWork · 26/12/2012 21:31

This is my number 1 choice for a bit, but with an 'e' - the French spelling

AnnoyedAtWork · 26/12/2012 21:31

For a BOY I mean!

GlitterySparklyBaublesOfDoom · 26/12/2012 21:44

I like it and I like the nn Seb but don't assume that everyone will call him that. My DF's son is called Sebastian and all his mates call him Sebacious. As in cyst. He likes it. His DM does not, which is probably why he likes it!

mayanna234 · 26/12/2012 23:01

Or he might get called Basty Shock
