I know a 5 year old Damon, it's not my favourite name but there's nothing wrong with it. And it makes me think of Damon Albarn from Blur too, which is no bad thing.

My DS bf is Damon and he's 16.
I also know a 14 yo one.
I don't love it or hate it. There's nothing wrong with it IMO so use it if you love it!

hmm the damien mix ups would wear thin. I like the fact that it's unusual but not too weird. My other favourite was a singer related name and i discounted it for that reason seemed a bit sad/peculiar.

It's fine. I have taught 3 Damons in my career and all of them were clever, handsome and a bit cheeky. :)
