OK so I have posted on here quite a few times now so apologies but DH and I really cant make our minds up! What are your thoughts on these names?

Girls:
Scarlett
Ruby
Darcie
Lily
Ava

Boys:
Alexander
Noah
Reuben
Oliver
Harry

I know a lot of these are very popular BUT...what do u think about them regardless?

Also what other names can u suggest. I would prefer something less popular but we just cant find a name we both like!

Thanks

From your lists I like:
Ava
Lily.... I love
Darcie..... I love

Alexander.... I love!
Harry and Oliver but there are a lot. That wouldn't bother me but ready for him not to be the only one in a group.

Not a fan of the other boys names I'm afraid. I just always think Reuben and Noah sound a bit wet. Sorry.

Our DS has the most popular boys name ever but we adore it and never looked back. Strangely our top picks for dc2 are both out of the top 100 but not intentionally. Don't be afraid to go with a name you love just because its popular.

Scarlett or Darcy.
Noah or Oliver.

LondonElfInFestiveCheerBoots · 19/12/2012 21:42

Scarlett or Darcie (but spelt 'Darcy' defineitely, -ie makes it look like a pet name and I think adding extra letters ie 'Darcey' is unnecessary) of your girls names. Ruby is starting to feel dated already and there are about 4 Lilys and Avas in every class now. Darcy is my favourite.

I love all your boys names bar Harry, but there are a lot of Noah and Olivers. Reuben is the one I'd go for, definitely, Alexander is more middle of the road.

Prefer Ava and Noah.
Like Alex too.

I know a few babies with the names you've listed - if it helps, their siblings are:
Lottie
Madison
Yasmin
Hannah
Christie
Isobel
Isla

Eli
Philip
Issac

Other suggestions:
Charlotte
Anya
Orla
Flora
Beatrice
Esme

George
Oscar
Joel
Blake
Zachary
Sebastian

I actually like most of your choices,

Girls:
Scarlett-I love this name
Ruby-Lovely name as nice as Scarlett but a little more popular
Darcie- Very pretty but becoming very popular
Lily- Lovely but very very overused
Ava- Beautiful and Classic one of my faves too

Boys:
Alexander- Nice classic name
Noah- Lovely name-one of my choices
Reuben- Only one I am not too keen on sorry
Oliver- Lovely name very very popular expect 3/4 per class
Harry- Lovely classic name

I actually like all your names, but agree with Darcy spelt as such, such a pretty name!!

Scarlett and Ava are lovely classy names - Lily and Darcie are too baby sounding for when she grows up. Like Noah in the boys' names.
