You lovely MNers were very helpful a few weeks ago when I was considering Elizabeth/Elsie (have now totally changed my mind). I have now quite fallen in love with the name Audrey as an alternative, what do you think?

Thanks xx

unfortunately DH prefers grace kelly to audrey hepburn so i wouldn't be allowed to use it :(

My dd has started asking me why we didn't call her Audrey (she's Alice) She pronounces it with a French accent, rolling the r. It sounds beautiful, gorgeous name

I think it's lovely but it pains me that the vast majority of British people think Roberts not Hepburn. I think I would explode with rage at having to correct people.

SomersetONeil · 21/12/2012 00:26

They'll maybe think Roberts the first couple of times, but then the owner of the name supersedes other associations over time.

I really wouldn't let a random Corrie character put you off it if you like it.

Really lovely. Much better than Elizabeth!

It was my girl name but I had 3 sons. Love it.
