We really struggled naming our first DS but agreed on Max (full name Maxwell) and love it. Now we're thinking about his baby brothers name. What suggestions do you have?

We're not keen on another short name, we can't have one ending in y/ie due to our surname, we don't want a name that's cutsie, though it could have a cute nickname, and nothing too posh (according to DH, though being antipodean I don't get what's too posh over here!).

Ideas please....

We have Max and Hugo, it does seem to be a popular coupling - my midwife had a Max and Hugo as well!

The Max I know has a brother called Alex.

Every single Max I know has a little bro called Sam (it's really uncanny), with the exception of one whose brother is Fergus.

So I suggest Fergus.

What about Jack.

why do you think a second boy's name needs to go with Max?

PrincessMononoke · 09/12/2012 23:47

Seth, Leo, Saul, Dylan, Milo.
I love Fergus, DP was not so keen Sad

I also know a Max with a brother called Finley.

Gabriel or Francis come to mind, Max can have a brother called Tom or Ben, but Maxwell can't.

I know an Anna who's big sister is something more original and it just doesn't work.
