I don't like any boys names at all, inspire me please.

Ds4 is due in 9 weeks and I seem to have name apathy and nothing appeals to me.

It will be an Irish name - one of the more unusual ones probably as exp seems to have a thing for awkward to spell and pronounce names. His favourite is Padraigh (pard-ric) but I stumble over the word ever time I try and say it.

The only name I love he says no to as the shortened version is awful, which it is so I can't argue with him about that.

He will have a common Irish surname.

Prefer not to have a name starting with J, M or C.

Any ideas?

You've still got a lot of time to think it through (many people do an about turn when they see their baby). bumping this for more ideas.

I don't know much about Irish names, but I've always liked Declan and Eamonn.

Starts with an M unfortunately, but I've always loved Malachi, no idea if it's unusual or not. I also like Donnacha (sp?).

I think part of the problem is that I love ds3s name so much that nothing comes close to being as perfect as it. I hated it at first but it really suits him now.

Doesn't help that exp has a massive family and they have used loads of names up already.

Declan/Eamon/Sean are all in use

Lorcan was on the list for ds3 and I think would go quite well with his name. Will suggest it to exp.
I don't like Quin or Neill but exp has always loved Niall, I don't mind it but it doesn't grab me.
Tate - I like this name at the moment because ice been watching American xfactor and love country music.
Tiernan is on the list, I have trouble remembering how to say it though.
Dara/Darragh I like but would give ds4 almost an identical name to a tv personality.
Conal I quite like like but am trying to avoid giving the boys the same initials. Which vetoes Cillian unfortunately as its grown on me since it was suggested for ds3.

I don't really mind whether the name is Irish or not to be honest, although its important to ex. And I think having (2 common Irish/English named children and 1 typically irish named) one name different to the rest would seem odd. So will stick to the Irish names for the moment I think. I can't really argue against it seeing as I have no suggestions of my own to offer up.

Lorcan is growing on me, and although I don't like Finn, ex keeps suggesting Finnbar. Would you get laughed st if your name was Finnbar though?

I prefer Lorcan to Finnbar myself.

I like Tate too Dinosaurs, and Tate Stevens is nice though we all know Carly Rose has it in the bag.

I love country music (well most of it) so have a soft spot for him. He doesn't look right when he takes his hat off though. I thought Simon got it right when he sent the young girl (Beatrice?) home, she looked under so much pressure. I really don't like Cece though. There seems to be so much more talent in xfactor USA than xfactor, they kept going on about Ella being 16 - some of these girls are 12/13 and could sing rings around her!
