Names like Amelia but not quite as popular?

I love Amelia but it keeps topping the name charts so I'd rather find something I loved as much but wasn't as popular.
I like Anais but my DP isn't that keen on it.
We have a boys name sorted and thought we had the girls name but I don't want my child to be one of 3 or 4 girls with the same name at school. Please help :).

Oh Aurelia is pretty thank you :). We've discussed Amelie but he vetoed that as he hated the film (because he's weird like that haha).
How is Ania pronounced? Is it like Anya or more anni-a? I like how it looks on paper but as most of my family have a strong accent it needs to be something easily pronounced :).

Emmylou?

NarcolepsyQueen · 17/11/2012 14:14

I have an Amelie. Eloisa is my number one choice if DC3 turns out to be a boy.

NarcolepsyQueen · 17/11/2012 14:15

I mean girl!!

Fluffeh · 17/11/2012 14:43

Emmylou is pretty but very close to my sisters name.
Ania may work, I'll have to test it out on the stronger accented family members. DP is rather insistent that the name mustn't be silly -heck knows what his definition of silly is! Hopefully I can convince him these are pretty non silly names that his child will appreciate :).

Be careful of Aurelia. You might find 'orally' becomes a nickname in the teen years......

cookielove · 17/11/2012 15:04

Arya - pronounced Ahhh-yaa
Emme - pronounced M-eeee
Elizabeth - i think its classically beautiful
Grace - same as above
Lila - pronounced Lie-llah
Elfie
