For a boy?!

I like it as a name for a boy, probably because I know an Aubrey who is clever kind and witty and I would be pleased to give a child a name with such positive vibes.

I used to know one, he was a man, he would be about 90 now if he is still with us.

Definitely a boy's name to me, and I love it. Mainly because of Jack Aubrey from the Aubrey/Maturin novels, whoever mentioned him!

It's my DS's middle name, after Captain Jack Aubrey. Love love love it.

I like Aubrey as a girls name... Less keen on it as a boys name. Bit close to Audrey for my liking!

Definitely a boy's name, my next door neighbour is called Aubrey and he is lovely.

But I am American and know about a dozen little girls called this and no boys.

My mum got touched up by an employer called Aubrey 35 years ago. Not sure that helps but it's a nice name

Like it - seriously considered it for my DS and may use it in the future.

Don't like it either, have only known one who was a red headed lad and always called Aubrey the Strawberry.

I know it is a boy's name. However, I still see Audrey when I see it.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembers that cartoon! And Aubrey was also Boycie's real name in Only Fools and Horses. Definitely a boy's name as far as I'm concerned.

I love Aubrey for a boy, but then by DS does have a very unusual name.

I think it's lovely but defo see it as a girl's name.

There was a song from the 70s I think called "Aubrey was her name" that I loved as a teenager. Also was too feminine sounding for a boy IMO.
